Amanda Harvey

Profile:

Amanda has worked in the health and fitness industry for 6 years. Since embarking on the industry Amanda has developed a passion for functional and corrective exercise. Working closely with her clients, physiotherapists and chiropractors, Amanda obtains a further understanding of their individual needs in order to tailor safe and effective training programmes.

Having recently become a “mum” for the first time in December 2010, Amanda prides herself on Prenatal/Postpartum training. She delivers programmes applying on equal balance of core strength and flexibility training, adjusting exercise patterns throughout each trimester to accommodate the changes to the body during pregnancy.

Having practised Thai Boxing for the last 4 years, Amanda is known to utilise basic boxing techniques in her training sessions in order to improve fitness and compliment body conditioning. She says “Thai boxing and Boxing are great ways to exercise, I would urge anybody to try it. Finally, Amanda has practised Bikram yoga for the last 3 years. Often referred to as “hot yoga” due to the humid temperature of the studio, Bikram yoga is an excellent way to improve mental strength and determination together with physical strength and flexibility.
