The Pool

Unlike many other gyms in the area, The Thames Club has its very own onsite swimming pool and wet facilities including steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi bath.

Our beautifully lit 20m pool is designed for adult lane swimming, children’s swimming lessons and free play. We have a pool timetable with a vast range of programmes and exercise classes, allowing you incorporate swimming into your health and fitness regime.

Swimming Lessons:

Swimming lessons are provided by our very own resident swimming instructor Jenny Budget. Jenny can cater to classes of all sizes and is able to provide guidance and instruction to swimmers of all abilities. Jenny is an extremely skilled swimming teacher, proven by the excellent results that her pupils achieve.

 

Childrens Swimming Lessons:

Jenny is giving the swimming lessons - 7 week course.

Adult Swimming Lessons:

Jenny is giving Swimming Fitness for Adults -  6 week programme.
(Adults are regarded as 16 years and above)

This course is designed to improve swimming stamina , stroke efficiency and lung capacity. Cost for the course is £60.00.

Parent & Baby Swimming Lessons:

We provide term time classes for Parents and Babies from 4 months to 3 years. Classes are run by the infamous ‘Seriously Fun Swimming Schools’.

Aqua Classes:

Our aqua classes are extremely popular and are a great way to keep fit. Classes are 45mins long.

Hygiene:

We take hygiene within our wet facilities very seriously and ask our swimmers to shower thoroughly before entering the pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. This is to keep the pool as clean as possible, making for a more enjoyable swimming experience for all.

Safety:

The sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi are strictly adults only (16 years plus). The usual pool rules apply; no diving, no running, no glass on poolside, no snorkels or masks and we ask for considerate lane swimming.
